horrible spot, the cars can see you but there's nowhere they can really pull over. Locals advise hitching at the lights so people can pull into the road at the cemetery, but its inconvenient. there's a petrol station just up the road, but it has traffic from both directions. Dont bother walking south, the speed limit goes up and theres nowhere at all for cars to stop. Try walking a bit furth back into town and there may be somewhere better.―Anonymous

nowhere for cars to pull over on the length of highway heading out of batemans bay, so try to avoid this area completely. locals recommend hitching at the traffic lights near the cemetery, as cars can pull over there, but its inconvenient for drivers. Theres also a petrol station you can try asking at, but it has traffic from both directions and a lot of people claim to be heading north.―Anonymous
